6 month old loud screaming/shouting

My 6 month old screams and shouts a lot. He appears to be doing it just for fun but it's quite annoying!
Is this normal behaviour?

My lo does this too! Finding their voices? Wanting attention? No clue.

Ds1 went through a phase of this at about the same age. Was just him finding and exploring his voice! Stopped after a while, although at the time I thought it would last forever! The happy but loud piercing screams were the worst!!
