Please help me! Am at the end of my teather! DD is 16 months old and since she was about 10 months old has been biting and scratching and it's been getting progressively worse. Today her 9 and 10 year old cousins came to play with her (had been looking forward to it all week) and I was so upset as she spent a lot of the time scratching and scowling at them & then bit them both on the leg for absolutely no reason. Have tried all sorts to stop her - telling her off, tapping her hand, doing it back to her (gently!), putting her in her high chair & ignoring her, but nothing seems to work. Everyone says its a phase, she dosn't mean it, she's just a baby etc but it's a bloomin long phase!!! She really looks angry when she does it and it scares me - like she knows what she's doing and she means it!! It's stressing me out big time as I can't predict her behaviour and am dreading her meeting people. When I tell her off, I know she knows she's done wrong as she will cuddle me, sucking her thumb or frown at me!
Please help, am just not enjoying being her mum!!!
