teething-advice?

My 4 mth ds had a bad teething bout last week for a day, temp of 38, when wasn't sleeping just gave this heartbreaking cry I'd never heard before, dribbled constantly etc. Seems a lot better, just niggly now but am a bit concerned as he has gone from 2 poos a day to about 7! He seems to be in pain when he poos, cries just before as if he has tummy ache and cries when poos. He has also had a cold for 2 weeks now, have heard that this can cause glands in stomach to cause tummy pain? Any ideas? Is this normal? Or is it likely to be connected to teething? Or am I just paranoid new mum? Not loose nappies but are different from normal, bright yellow (sorry-tmi).
Anyone out there with similar experience to reassure me?

It might be worth getting him to the GP to be checked over, as although they can have funny nappies when teething the pain associated with it doesn't sound like teething. I expect it's just his system fighting the bug he's had but no harm in getting him checked over so you can be reassured.

I agree, I would get him checked over..just to be on the safe side.
