Hi ladies, what's everyone's experience with weaning, did you start with fruit or vegetables?

You can just give them a bit of whatever you have. Around 6 1/2 months I think mine first ate some lasagne.

DS1 started with steamed veg, but with DS2 we dove straight in with fish pie!

Ds1 played with chunks of food from 26 weeks for about 3 months when he suddenly got the idea of swallowing rather than chewing and spitting. Ds2 stole a breadstick from my plate in Pizza Hut at around 25 weeks. Never looked back.

I restricted nothing but honey and made sure food was either holdable by them or easily spooned such as yoghurt. they were given simple versions if what's had, to start with just picking bits out of our plates. I let them dictate the pace and kept up the milk as normal until they ate more and naturally drank less.
