You sound like a great SM. Can anyone talk to SD's mum - SIL perhaps? IME girls of that age can really start being mean to each other - all this "you're not my best friend" stuff. My DD had a miserable time at school at that age, but it does pass - not much help to your SD now, I know. It's possible the mother's not doing anything because she doesn't know what to do, but could the SIL step in and at least get her talking about it?

well sil lives miles away from Sd's house and sil hadnt spoken to SD's mum for a long time as she is abit of a bitch with a few probs with her and dp....but anyway im just hoping that Sd knows what to do now with some advices from us and hope she will stand up to her.

and another worrying thing that its name picking on her as the best friend (and 2 other girls) are calling her fatty, stupid, etc but she is actually on the other end of the scale. She had asked me a few times if her bum is too big or she is fat!!!!!!

blimey i didnt think of those things at all when i was her age but nowadays its all about weight and fashion
