Flat head

My 8 month old son has a flat head and although I have seen a little improvement it is still very much noticeable,will it become better overtime As he gets stronger and starts crawling etc?

My DS had a very flat head to the point that I even started looking into those helmets that are supposed to correct it! His was flat at the side, as he would always turn his face to the same side while lying on his back. I tried to encourage him to lie in different ways, tummy time, etc. But he still always moved to his preferred side.

At about 6 months old the HV upset me when she said "well it won't get any better but at least it won't get worse" Shock - luckily she was wrong as once DS started moving more and sleeping on his front it improved a lot. He's now 21 months and his head looks "normal" to me!
