12 months old won't eat anymore

My little boy is 12 (almost 13) months old. Last week he got bad cold, he was coughing, had a runny nose, high temperature ect. So he didn't really want to eat anything, I was giving him milk and he was happy with that. Now symptoms are gone and he still won't eat. Every time I offer him any food he just starts to cry and refuses to eat, this has been going on for a week now. I don't know what to do? He was a very good eater before this, would eat any time any food he was offered. Now he won't eat anything, just drinking his milk and will have a fruit puree or yohgurt occasionally. Any suggestions?

Firstly, don't stress about it or show you're stressed around him. It's very normal in my experience and they go through a few blips like this until they're about 6 years old!

Well both mine did anyway!

If he's having milk and fruit puree he'll be fine....as a doctor once told me, they will eat when hungry in general unless there's a real issue...and you'd know if there was as there'd be other symptoms.

Perhaps just keep offering the odd item...things he might like...but not pushing or saying anything when he doesn't eat them. He will eventually.

Does he have finger foods usually?

He is spoon fed and also has finger food occasionally. Now he refuses to eat from a spoon and if I give any finger food he just throws it on the floor. No interest in eating at all. I also have an older daughter and never had this issue before so it's all new to me.
