...about the "Pink Phase"? DD (3) entered it about 6 months ago and is very picky about which clothes she wears (pink) the colour of straw she is given in a cafe (pink) the balloon she is given at a party (pink)...you get the idea...

I have never been a big fan of the colour, and while I haven't purposely tried to avoid it, I haven't particularly encouraged it either. So where does the obsession come from? Is it some primeval urge? If so, what on earth is it's purpose? All I could come up with is maybe something to do with berries (red ones tend to be poisonous, pink ones ok? or is that daft?)

Any anthropologists out there?

its a girl thing

its weird isn't it

oh I do know a 3 year old boy who will only have green plates and cups and straws etc

my 6 year old boy never had an affinity to a particular colour but 2.8 year old DD likes pink straws and balloons and jumpers
