Lots of wee accidents

Hi

I've just collected my 2 3/4 year old from playgroup and he has had 3 accidents this morning.

He occassionally has accidents, however as long as you remember to take him to the toilet he is dry. Poohs are another matter and they still happen in his pants or nappy.

Does anyone have any ideas on how to get him to do poos in the potty/toilet and how to encourage him to go himself to the toilet.

Thanks Chris

Hi there, don't worry is my advice. DS1 just didn't get potty training until he was 3yrs and then he just clicked with it (I'd been trying for 7mths to train him) He'd go some weeks having no accidents and then he'd have a giant step back and have constant accidents, there was no pattern. Anyway, like I said it just clicked and I haven't forced the issue of potty to toilet he's done it himself and yesterday he told me to pack the potty's away as he's a big boy now and wants to use the toilet So don't fret he'll be fine, oh and the pooh thing, thats always another matter, but he'll get there and will probably develop a unhealthy interest in size and colour of it If you want more advice I think there is a potty training section on Mumsnet. Good luck
