but if what??

I would do a baby whisperer and let him cry until he's bored with - unless you have something else to add which makes this impossible.

Be strong - you are the mummy!

Can you make a quiet corner?? With a couple of books and cushions and sit with him there until it passes.

marymillington · 05/02/2007 21:30

It will get better - soon he will be able to make himselft understood in other ways. Have you tried baby signing?

littlepiggie · 05/02/2007 21:30

Books for me or my little monster?
Will it work with him been so young?

Hi littlepiggie
As he doesn't seem distressed (no tears you say), do you think he could be bored?
I know how hard it is trying to keep a baby entertained when you have stuff to do.
Maybe find a suitable dvd (some people swear by baby einstein!) just to keep him engaged for a while, so you can have a bit of peace.

SSShakeTheChi · 05/02/2007 21:32

When he's crying you're not actually there in the room? Or you're in the room just occupied with something?

littlepiggie · 05/02/2007 21:33

He is very good at telling us what he want, and he sometimes shuts up if i go out the room.

He gets lots of snacks, he always has a drink on the side, which he goes to himself, he is bf at the same times evey day, he can crawl, walk around holding in to things, so i dont get it.

Books are great even for 10mth olds, but if you haven't shown him what to do with them yet, you'll have to sit with him and read. He'll soon get the idea, then he'll love looking at them by himself!

littlepiggie · 05/02/2007 21:35

He has 4 toy boxes, we bring a bifferent one down every day, he is like it most the time when we are out, but i turn off to that now.

he loves books, has 5 in each box, we read to him everyday, if he is that mood, which is most of the time he just screams untill i walk out the room, after about 1-2 min he shuts up, then starts again when i come back in.
