Constant wetting now at school

DS has just started reception. 2 weeks of half days and now full time this week. He goes to his familiar childminder before and after school with his sister. He is very happy with school.

I think the wetting is just because he's interested in what he's doing/ forgets/ can't be bothered but he's been dry in the daytime for 18 months at least. He is only 4 and 2 months.

He doesn't tell anyone he's wet (doesn't really care), so is dry but smelly at the end of the day. He says he knows where the loos are and what to do.

Any advice? I don't see the teacher.

You need to find a way to speak to the teacher. Email or phone the school office and ask to arrange a meeting or phone conversation with her/him. I would be asking for him to be reminded to go at break and lunch and I'd send him in with spare clothes to change into.

School nurses can help with strategies - again, school office can give you their phone number, and they are nearly always off site anyway. But start with the class teacher.

Infant schools expect accidents, they will have dealt with this many many times before. Our school is often looking for spare clothes for Y2s. It's not just 4 year olds.
