4yo boy loves Care Bears, is this a bad thing??

It's really sweet, and if DS was a DD I probably wouldn't think about it, but I'm scared of him getting teased at playgroup (very cliquey group of boys there). All the other 4-5yo boys at playgroup are hooked on power rangers. Should I worry? Go buy him a P'Ranger video, too?! I don't even know what channel it broadcasts on.

nah dont worry about. dh loved care bears as a kid, even now gets all nostalgic about his care bears. he likes to think he is a pretty hard man, but he is really a softy, especially where he pretends to do the care bear stare (or something) with the kids to entertain them. but dont tell him i told u that!!

Zebra, I think that's lovely and certainly wouldn't worry about it. I bet he grows into a caring, sensitive young man (no pun intended)!

zebra I think its really sweet! My son loves girls toys too, I think it comes with the territory when they have a sister. My son has to take his pushchair out with him whenever we go a walk. We met another little boy in the park the other day and he had a pushchair aswell and they both started fighting over it LOL dont worry its sweet and its usually other people who comment on it

my ds (3 1/2) loves his 'friends' - a vast collection of soft toys in particular a grey bear called bear! they go on picnics together and put out fires and i have heard him playing schools with them! he too has a pushchair for them and people are always commenting on how nice it is to see a little boy with a pushchair!?

i think its really swet and wouldn't worry about it at all

Just thought I'd update (8 YEARS LATER). It's DS's 12th birthday and the video he chose to watch over tea tonite is ... Care Bears!
No he hasn't got SN, either. I expect he's using 3yo little brother as an excuse, tho' .

My 3 year old ds loves e care bears. He watches the mvie over and over. I have caught his 8 and 6 year old brothers watching too! Honestly my boys flip between star wars, doctor who and cbeebies at the drop of a hat. It's sweet.
