I live 20 miles away from the town where the speech therapy takes place, don't drive and these journey's would involve two buses

my dd is at primary school and gets out at 2.30pm, my dh works, I don't know a lot of people here , my mother works full time as do most of my relatives who live close enough to help.

Even if i could find someone to help out collecting dd for school, I would need someone with me to look after ds for the PARENT ONLY workshops for 6 weeks

I phoned them today and told them I could not do the course, but feel very angry that it is so complicated, fed up that there is no help where it is needed, even if I only had one child I don't think I could manage this

sorry my op doesn't make much sense, I tried to put down the sessions but it didn't work, basically two days a week I would have to make the journey, the first day would be a 45 min video session at the totally inappropriate time of 1.45pm, dd gets out of school at 2.30pm

the next day I would have a session in the morning with ds, for an hour, then in the afternoon, I would be at the parent workshop without ds, and then I would need someone to look after him for that hour for 6 weeks

it just gets me down even thinking about it, I am considering getting my dd to go to after school club, but think it is very expensive

but just the sheer logistics of 4 bus journeys, plus hanging about a hospital, or what will I do between 11am and 1.45pm ? when I am waiting to go to the afternoon workshop, I despair.......
