I have tried ignoring him, asking him to go to his room to do it, general explanation about not doing it in front of others etc but he still plays with it. Yes I know hes a bloke but FGS does he have to tell me how big it is getting all the time!!!!

Don't know what to say except that it will pass. My DS#1 did it all the time but he grew out of it...can't remember when exactly but he's 10 now so thankfully he doesn't any more. My DS#2 is nearly 4 and can't leave it alone ....since he's been out of nappies it's one of his fav toys.

Try keeping him in pants all the time if it bothers you - I find that even one layer of cotton tends to keep his fingers away. I think that if it's just flapping about in the breeze it's fair game , if it's safely tucked away he doesn't bother.

Ah....a determined groper . Although maybe DS does occasionally stick his hand down his trousers....

I still wouldn't worry. He's a bit young perhaps to understand about embarrassment and privacy etc. Having said that does he do it in front of strangers? DS never fiddles at nursery or in front of grandparents etc. It's just an at home activity.
