BEEH HERE BEFORE BUT WHAT CAN I DO ABOUT IT?

One cat, aged 12 1/2. One human, aged 19 months. Cat barely tolerates human. Human adores cat and clearly doesn't understand she isn't well, is old, and doesn't want any attention. She has just hissed at him and lashed out. I have put the cat out and told the small human not to lay with her, but what can I do? I refuse to leave the cat in her room all day. It is her house too and it feels mean.

Not sure, we had this problem with DS, he eventually stopped it...but still goes in for cuckles (cuddles) now and again...think cat just got used to small human in out house.

We had the same problem. The cat eventually learnt to stay away. 7 years on and my DD1 wonders why the cat runs away whenever she walks into the room. We bought her a toy cat and she was happy with that. You can get toy cats now that purr and sleep. Might be worth a go.

spuds is a great idea, get him a cat he CAN squeeze.

It's definitely a case of keeping the two apart I'm afraid, unless you don't mind constantly saying "NO! Leave the cat alone!" to your ds!

He has got a cuddly cat which he loves but I would love one that purrs. Anyone know where I can it get one from? Though I did wonder if he would get them mixed up or still think the real one was a toy!!
