Breastfed baby not taking bottle

I'm not sure if this has been asked before, or if I've posted in the right topic. My DS is 8 weeks old. He's been breastfed with a bottle of expressed milk introduced around 4 weeks. It was all going well until yesterday, when he started refusing a bottle. At first we thought that the expressed milk was gone off (wouldn't have thought this but couldn't think why else), but tonight I've tried freshly expressed milk in a bottle and he won't take that either. Has anyone got any experience of this or of how to re-introduce the bottle. It's come to the point where as soon as he sees it, he starts crying. TIA

My dd did this and unfortunately for us, she never took it again 😩 it was very hard but thee was nothing I could do but breast feed until she was 1. However, ds went through the same phase around the same age as your dc, we just persisted in offering it regularly and he took it again within a few days x

Have you tried having different people offer it to dc? Ds would take it if I wasn't there, if my husband or mum gave it to him and I went up stairs or niped to the shop. I think he must have thought, "I'm not having that when there boob right there!" He soon took it from anyone though x

Thanks for the replies - we've persisted and when I'm not in the room, he's fine having it! Such a relief! Smile
