Ds won't stop screaming!!!

Ds is 5 months old. He's started up this screaming thing, he's not tired, hungry or anything just does it for kicks. Is this normal, I swear I'm going to be deaf it's that glass-shattering loud

Yes normal! He's found his voice. My DD enjoys squawking and screeching, as well as lots of general whingeing.

This is mental loud, it's giving me headaches he does it all day

My 5 month old has been doing a kinda weird moany noise lately but while being perfectly happy at the same time .... I hope it doesn't develop into screaming but if it does I'm sure it'll be normal... Ear plugs until he grows out of it?

I remember exp telling me to stop the baby screaming. Not sure how he expected me to accomplish that though

Oh god this takes me back. For us it wasn't screaming it was a sort of growling noise and in the end it was like nails down a blackboard.

He doesn't do it out of spite you donkey he's just excited by what he's discovered he can do! He'll be even more excited if he gets a reaction from you for it. I know it's tough (my poor ears are still recovering) but try not to react at all, he'll get over it.

He's smiling because he's discovered that he can control one aspect of his environment by making a sound at will! And also that he can control you by making you react when he does it. He has no concept of spite or that you might not like it as much as he does. They just have no idea about anything at all really, the dafties
