Well I do know that my baby wasnt keen on my Dad at first but I think that was more to do with unsightly eyebrows!

my DD was like taht too and probably around that age. she'd stick out her bottom lip around strangers and wouldnt play on her own i had to be by her side and playing with her.. shes now 21 weeks and fine with new people and smiles at them when they talk to her and shes playing fine by herself in swingchair or gym, so it may be a phase since shes used to you being by your side all the time. just try letting her play on her own when your a few feet away so she can still see you and just graudually i think she may adjust... thats just my experience since this is my first and I'm also still learning this whole mum thing. best of luck.

When reading the thread tilte, I was going to say that it was very unlikely and more to do with the fact that she likes you, but you sort of went on to say that.

Well... I think so. My mum swears that if a stranger held me as a baby I would throw my arms up and my whole body backwards. This was apparently from being tiny.. like 6 weeks. My mum swears I was the talk of the village for being so opinionated about people at such an early age. She said I used to embarrass her with my odd behaviour!

I have grown up to be a warm and wonderful person however, so have no worries!

Both of mine did this from about 3 months.
I did it too, form 3 months old my mum could not leave me with anyone even my dad.
How are you feeding baby I know that sounds like an odd wuestion but neither of mine settled down until they started solids and the discovered their only source of food did not have to be my boobs.
I think about that age they are more aware than we sometimes give them credit for and when you are out her sight she does not realise you are coming back.

Good question adath, the feeding has gone a bit weird. She has 2 ff a day the rest breast. Over the last 24-48 hours has increased frequency, was wondering if she needs solids but very young yet. I went to shops for 40 mins yesterday morning and she cried the whole time for DH However she then cried for me and ended up giving her a ff(220mls) less than 2hrs since her last bf she then fed again 2hrs later. Am a bit of a loss at the mo have baby clinic on thurs and will talk to HV then.
