Appropriate rewards

The pasta jar starts today ! I would really appreciate any suggestions of rewards which are not food / sweets. Also should rewards be based on a prticular number of pasta pieces in the jar - how do you work it out ? The marvellous Dr Tanya suggests 'special time' kind of rewards eg extra story / play with mum and dad time ... does anyone have any suggestions along those lines ? Thanking you in advance

How about for every 5 pieces of pasta in the jar she'll get a small reward.

extra bedtime story
pot of bubbles
time out with mum
time out with dad
both together
trip to the park
colouring book

If she likes sticking and making things she could have loads of rewards there.
glue stick
coloured feathers
coloured foam shapes

You could have a box of rewards and allow her to pick which one she wants each time.

You don't need to spend a lot of money on them as thats not what it's about!!!!

Good ideas. I think letting her choose the reward will appeal to her fiercely independent streak. Does anyone who uses a pasta / marble jar system have any suggestions ?
