Am I neurotic or right to feel annoyed ?

DS1 started nursery last week and loves it.
On Fri I went to pick him up and his face was black and the nursey nurse said he was black because he had fell over.
There was no real harm done just a tiny scratch near his eye and one at the side of his nose but I thought why the hell didn't they clean him up,he looked like he'd been sweeping chimneys!!
I said nothing to them but I can't help thinking can the place be up to much if they left him like that.

What do you guys think?

thats very strange, surely they should have cleaned him up

I think the majority of people looking after a child, would clean them up straight away

common sense really

Sounds a bit slap-dash of the nursery, TBH.
Was your son distressed ie: had it only just happened?

He must have fell at least 20mins before I arrived and there was ample oppurtunity to clean him up as when we arrived to pick him up the children were sat down waiting for a story and there were 3 adults present.
It must have hurt when he fell as he told us he cried and when people asked him what he had done at nursery he said I fell over.

Seems odd for them not to have cleaned him up, or helped clean him up (depending on his age).

Did you sign the accident book/forms?
If not, do ask the nursery about their accident book - as accidents must be recorded, especially those involving the head.
