After some advice please. Dh is getting a little frustrated with his ds. He is 6 in march, and if he does a poo, he always insists on Daddy checking to see if he is clean and says he doesn't know how (which he does as his dps have both explained what to do).
We're concerned because it appears he is afraid to do a poo at school, because he doesn't think he'll be clean. Any suggestions on how to approach this? My dh thinks he is getting a little old for such behaviour. He hasn't really discussed with dss's dm, but he will be. Anyone else had similar experience?

YEs, ds was the same. We said when he gets to 6 he needs to be more independent in that area. He is nearly 7 now. He still asks me to check if a particalur 'messy' one. Think perfectly normal and acceptable. The school nurse said so too when i asked her.

We found bottom wipes did the trick as leaves them feeling fresh and clean. It is a diff thing to learn to do really - not like you can actually see your bottom.

I can remember tho as a child how embarassed i felt if there were skid marks in my knickers.
