Hand down crack

Is this normal?

Ds (16 months) seems to perpetually have his hand down the back of his nappy. On the only occassions he removes it he leave behind a beautiful builders crack.

Tell me this is normal (and if so, is it a good indicator of handedness? ... oh yes, and how do I stop it?)

that isnt too bad - since he has stopped wearing a vest due to warmer weather, ds, now 22 months, constantly has his hands down the FRONT of his nappy!!!

How do I stop THAT!!??

I think I know the answer.........it will nver stop! lol!

coppertop · 30/05/2004 18:39

Ds2 isn't a crack-scratcher yet but he's still wearing his vests so it's early days yet.

fisil · 30/05/2004 18:40

lol - I know grown men who still do that!

At least I'm not the only one. My ds is a front and back boy, sometimes at the same time!!

Oh good ... not only is there no cure, but it will get worse!

lol about the willy twiglett!

Can someone quickly post here about a girl with a hand-down-nappy habit, before I start forming gross generalisations?

dd2 cant get her hands in her nappy. tho she does try. think its the poppers that confuse her.

NomDePlume · 30/05/2004 19:54

My DD had a real penchant for fiddles ! She still does it now, at 22 months, but it peaked at around 18mo.

strangerthanfiction · 30/05/2004 20:12

Dd, 19 months hasn't put her hands down her nappy yet but when she's romping around nappyless she tries every move in the yoga spectrum to try to see underneath her tummy to what she's got underneath!

fisil · 30/05/2004 20:15

pmsl stf. Ds can only imagine what lies beyond his vast tummy too!

Glad it's not just the boys!
