Just after a bit of advice if possible. My 18 month old ds has suddenly starting going crazy! In the last week his energy levels have been ramped up to the max, he's starting hurling himself around and yelling ( like he's having fun). He'll go form having the best time of his life to being super clingy and crying. It's like he's emotionally on the edge. He's also suddenly waking at 4.30 and not really going back to sleep. He'll just sit in the cot chatting until we get him up, but he naps well in the day and goes to bed relatively easily.

It's like he's having some bizarre developmental / personality leap.

Has anyone had any experience of this, how long does it last etc? I'm currently pregnant and finding it hard work!

Yes. DS is 20 months and just as you describe. It's normal toddler stuff IME. I cut his nap(s) back and that has helped with the early waking a bit.

I also have a 12 week old so I'm just going with the flow right now.

Do an expressive dance routine on the carpet if you want, DS1! If it's keeping you occupied that's fine with me!

Ha loving the expressive dance routine. That's really good to know, and also good to hear you're managing two. Congratulations!

Sometimes I'm overwhelmed by the intensity of his joy / upset / energy. It's pretty bonkers and he seems to have really turned the dial up the last week or so.
