Hes not eating or drinking?

LO is 8m got first 4 teeth now, no problems with those was eating/drinking as normal. But since the past 2 days he's not eating/drinking properly & I'm getting very worried. I feel as though he's getting more teeth around the side. He's got abit of a flu at the moment. He generally hasn't taken to water ever but HV said as long as he's having milk (formula) that's fine.

Today this was his day:
Woke at 10am - had porridge with Apple & pear
Lunch at 230pm
Milk at 5pm (6oz)
Dinner at 730pm - few spoons
Milk at 1030pm (1.5oz)

Normally he had 3 meals a day with snacks in between & milk 3/4 times a day (7/8oz)

Could this appetite change be due to him having the flu & teething?

Definitely nothing to worry about yet. He's eating a little and having enough fluid in his formula so everything is fine. I don't know about you but feeling under the weather, as he is at the moment with flu and teething, always wipes my appetite. Why should babies be any different? The best thing to do would be to carry on with usual feeding routine with same sorts of foods and don't force the issue if he doesn't eat. This way his routine isn't disrupted and once he's stopped feeling poorly he'll just pick up where he left off. Please don't worry at this stage, he'll no doubt be back to normal once he's feeling better!

Sorry for another post, just to add - I've just noticed you didn't mention any milk/fluids until 5pm. Is he drinking anything in the morning? I'd keep offering milk early in the day if that's what you usually do just to keep up fluid intake.

Today he has eaten abit more then yesterday & had 3 lots of milk (approx 5oz) each time x

Good news! Be prepared for it to go up and down a little over the next few days if his teeth are being troublesome but it should resolve naturally. Be reassured that no child will let themselves starve so he will be getting what he needs for now. Hope he's feeling better soon!
