Sorry, not sure what board this would fall under. My ds is 5 weeks old he is my first child and is ebf. Whenever he is passing gas or popping he seems to be really straining, turning red, drawing his legs up and crying like its hurting him. Is this normal?

How are his poos? Are they acidic? Is he worse at night?

Sometimes this indicates a cows milk protein intolerance which is relatively common. Basically they're struggling to digest the traces of dairy in your BM. The fix is to go dairy free yourself but it takes a few weeks to make a difference.

However it could be as simple as constipation.

He is also started spitting up in the last week, but I think that is due to my over supply
