4 month old twin wakes every half hour thru night whenever dummy comes out. have tried not giving him dummy but he screams himslef into a rage- also he has a twin and 20month old sister so i can't afford for him to scream cos wakes them all up. anyone suffered like this? i desperately need few hours of uninterupted sleep

I had this, swaddling was the only answer, and make sure you use a cherry teat.

If he isn't in your room, then get rid of baby monitor. I was up all night every night until monitor was ditched, now don't hear anything, so dd must go back to sleep. A monitor magnifies every little sound, and we would go rushing in....sometimes hear vague grizzling in night, but now ignore it and dd eventually goes back to sleep.....She would also scream herself into a rage at no dummy, and still does in day.

hope this helps...

my old 4 month old charge did this... answer was we removed dummy compeltey.... mummy and daddy endured a couple of nights of not such good sleep but after 3 days hed forgotten all about it and slept fine from then on...

if i were you get rid of it before he gets too attached!

My dd is 17 months and still often wakes in the night if her dummy falls out. It's a complete nightmre and I would recommend trying to get rid of the dummy (or at least so he doesn't rely on it to sleep) asap. Easier said than done I know as 17 months on and dd still has it

Not really got any other advice but I do sympathise with you and hope it gets better for you and he manages to get through the night without waking up for it soon.
