Cranial Osteopathy for a Preschool Age Child Rather than Baby

I have just been doing some research on the net about how a ventouse delivery can effect a child later in life. The more I read the more I wonder how DS difficult arrival into the world with the help of ventouse could be having an effect on him now. Has anyone taken a child this age for therapy and has it made a difference to sinus problems, behaviou, sleep and general well being?

Have no personal experience, but when we took our lo into see a co, she talked about seeing all ages - inc adults. I also have a friennd with a 3 yo who is currently having co to treat eating problems & sinus/glue ear. Mum feels its helping...

Thank you, it sounds like people speak highly of it. I'm unsure whether to see a HV or GP for referral or just go to direct to the therapist and pay. I feel like the HV will think I am batty but from what I have read I feel there could be problems stemming from his birth.

I took DS2 age 3 who is autistic - he also has a funny shaped head - he had a lot of pressure in there. It helped - he calmed a little and started to have less extreme meltdowns. I had to stop at the time because it was so expensive but am hoping a monthly visit will do the trick.

we took our dd for this when a baby after ventouse delivery, it was fab, rages stopped v quickly and as mentioned if it goes untreated can still be there in later life. our doctor was a sceptic so went on our own! one of the best things i have done for dd. would go again if issues arose now!

I had my ds done when he was a few months old but I know someon who took a three year old with successful results. Give them a ring and see - do you know of any near you?

My DS has been going to a cranial osteo for a year to treat glue ear and sinus problems and breathing/snoring.

After six months the glue is completely gone in one ear and mostly gone in the other. His snoring has stopped. His sinus are clearer (less snotty! sorry!) and I swear by it.

Consultant at hosp told me not to bother wasting my money as was hocus pocus and surgery would be a better option. so glad I ignored him. He was shocked when hearing was perfect and glue ear was gone at last appointment. It doesn't go on its own so the cranial must work. Didn't rub it in tooo much!
