DD is 8 and has the same problem. It seemed to start more or less as she turned 8. I was a bit wary about her using deoderant at first but washing alone wasn't enough. I finally bought her her own deoderant this week and she is very proud of it

i think it's very young to use deodrant. i would try a deodrant soap and a crystal deodrant, without all those nasty chemicals!

Bionsen is a natural one too and available in all types.

Dd1 was 8 when I brought her some. It was summer and she did smell a little bit under her arms and it was upsetting her so I got some.

my 12 year old does not but my 14 year old does

I try to buy the natural type crystal one ( Holland and barrett) as there was debate a few years back about carcinogens being related to them....IIRC

My dd was, I think, nearly 10. She does a lot of sport and was getting a bit smelly, particularly when she had been wearing a leotard or anything else made out of synthetic fabric. She doesn't use it every day - only when she's going to get really sweaty.

Judy1234 · 05/01/2007 18:25

I've never used it. I'm 45.

I really hope my dd won't need/want it, but if she does it will be the liquid crystal spray on deoderant or nothing, I rarely use deoderant, used it in my teens, wish I had known about the pitrok stuff then, it is vere effective and contains no nasties
