She is obsessed with her 'baby'

My 2 year old daughter is literally obsessed with her toy baby, its only just started recently, she will not do anything without it, she goes everywhere with it and it cant have clothes on it needs to be fully naked, she cradles it, burps it, tucks it in bed, gives it a bath they go in together, feeds it juice and food as if it was a real baby i even have to give it a kiss and cuddle before bed and tuck the two of them in, ive found myself cradling it aswell, i feel nuts haha is this normal behaviour for her age?

Oh crikey yes. Completely normal.

Totally normal. My eldest had a nursery of them at one point and she had to have them all tucked in beside her at night. I still don't know how she managed to sleep!

I'd say they grow out of it but shes 6 this year and still plays with her babies and rotates them for outings whenever we go out. They must grow out of it

Ive had to take her baby out her bed tonight as she has a bug so shes not very happy about it, she still has her blanket so hopefully that gives her some comfort tonight, im so happy to hear its normal i just felt crazy pretending to burp a doll

My daughter was a dog called Lola for over a year. I mean properly. I had to stop her constantly from tying things round her neck as a collar, demands to eat and drink from a bowl on the floor, battles to stop her crawling on her hands and knees even when we were in town, actual tears as to why she wasn't born a dog.
In the end I bought her a dog hat, paws and a tail and let her go with it.

Definitely normal.

And just to prepare you......my dd spent the entire year when she was four as a dog. She drank from a water bowl and sat on a cushion on the floor. Dogs aren't allowed on the furniture you see.

Well it's better than the pineapple and other variety of fruit that had to be taken to bed. Watching this pineapple get more and more soggy as time went on did my swede in.

My DSs had their toilet seat on the bathroom floor this morning and the middle was piled high with loo roll when I went in to investigate. They were wiping every toy's willy as each had done a wee- they have about 30 cuddlies each and all were in the room taking turns!!

DD has had a toy donkey since she was a baby and became very attached to it at around 18mo. She's 3 now and still obsessed. She takes him everywhere, looks after him and he provides great comfort to her. It's normal to be attached to something when they are little!
