Is this normal, 1 year old

My DD just turned 1 and the past week she has been very angry, if you take something off her if you don't give her her food quickly etc she will lie on the floor even hit her head off the door and scream!! My DS didn't start temper tantrums til at least 3 so don't know what to make of this, also she doesn't say any words other than da and that's it. Just wondering if this is just early temper?

My 18 month old dd has been having temper tantrums from younger than one. I think it's just her personality. I've been told that my brother and my mum were the same as babies. I am hoping this will mean she will be less prone to the terrible twos as she will have already got them out of the way! I don't think it is anything to worry about at this time.
