Our DS is behind with his speech and we are are on the "waiting list" most likely going to get one on one help for him which we think he will be fine with. We are waiting for an early stages dev. programme assessment also and this is where we have our main concerns. Co-ordination wise he's v good no issues but he tends to go into his own world and waves his hands about, grimaces, shows signs of frustration but overall it's this area where me and my DW look at each other and feel there is something not quite right. Any advice or guidance (from experience) is much appreciated.

It's very stressful isn't it? Flowers What you describe does sound a little "off" and it might be useful to do the MCHAT screening quiz. Did you discuss the hand waving and going into his own world with the doctor or HV yet?
