Not sure where to put this - 3yo with red cheeks and ears

DS1 is 3.4yo and in recent weeks I've noticed he gets very flushed, pink cheeks and bright red ears. Sometimes both but just as equally it'll be one ear or cheek. They're hot to the touch but don't seem to bother him and it's usually I the late afternoon/evening and gone. Y morning.

Can't see a correlation between it happening and tiredness/jumping around/what he's doing etc

Am not worried just curious if anyone else seen this?

Yes my 3 yo d's has this too. No idea what it is. Sorry not helpful.

My 3 year old was getting this, he had infected tonsils and some awful virus. It stopped after penicillin but his symptoms did get worse which is why I took him to the dr.
