I have a 3 month old boy who in most areas is great. However, the SECOND he is put down, either in a seat or cot, he screams his head off. It is getting to the point that I can not put the kettle on without him screaming. I have tried leaving him to cry and he screams continuously until picked up again - have tried up to 20 minutes.
I know there is nothing wrong as he stops the minute he is picked up.
Is this normal?!!
Any tricks or methods that I can try, so that I can put him down for more than 2 minutes.

can you try lying him down with some of your clothing (for smell) or if I really needed to get something done I would use my sling. Don't know how you feel about dummies but I have found them invaluable 2nd time around.

I think this is normal for some babies. A sling can work well though sometimes you may have
to let him cry a bit as not everything can be done with a sling.

I know this seems very wearing but it is a lot better than a baby who cries even when you pick them up which many babies do as well.
