15 month old hurting her self

my 15 month old is very placid, never cried and is generally a very chilled girl. Lately though, if she gets wound up about something, instead of crying or having a tantrum she just starts hitting herself on the head or headbutting the floor or wall. Is this normal? Is she just trying to express frustration or should I be worried? She also sometimes claws herself.

Perfectly normal. We taught ours simple signs and that seemed to help.

Yeah quite normal. She's just cross and still very little. It's her way of releasing the frustration.

Still keep caution and awareness especially with head banging as she won't really understand limits yet but I'm sure your on top of that so she doesn't damage herself or end up in a&e. Or at least if she does she's safe that your monitoring her.

Other than that Hun keep going, it's not nice to see our children doing things like that but it will pass xxxx
