Ds2 is 9.5 months, and as title says, sometimes still wants a small milk feed at about 10.30pm. Now there seems to be no pattern to when he wants it - sometimes it's a day when he's not eaten much, but sometimes he's eaten loads. Some nights he doesn't want it at all.
He eats well, eats the same meals as ds1 and has a varied diet. Ds1 gave up this feed at about 5/6 months, and I know they're all different, but I feel that this is dragging on and it's becoming a habit rather than a need.
The only reason I can see for this is that he's very small - weighs about 16.5/17lbs, so perhaps his stomach is still too small to take him from bedtime to morning. I tried dropping this feed for a while but it just resulted in him waking earlier (5.30am) and hungrier!
So what I'm really wondering is, is this fairly normal or is there anything I can do to encourage dropping this feed for good? Any thoughts/advice/opinions would be welcome!
