Id love to hear if anyone else has gone through this and what helped..
We recently decided no more dummy for our 2 1/2 year old. She'd already chosen not to have dummy at nursery for her nap and had been fine without it there for a few months. When we got rid of it at home we had 2 nights of crying and needing a lot of cuddles she accepted dummy was gone.
Since then, though she has been very clingy with me (mum), is much more easily upset, more clingy at nursery drop off, very clingy at toddler play group and not wanting to join in, and much more emotional (and more tantrums). Perhaps this is just a toddler phase? Did seem to start with getting rid of the dummy though and I'm worried she has had a loss of confidence with losing her comforter.
Has anyone else had a similar experience? Id appreciate any advice.
