Triple P (Positive Parenting Project) course - anyone done it?

Have any of you done the online Triple P course? If so how did you find it? I'm at the end of my tether with my 11yo & wonder if this will help or if it's only good for younger children.
Or should I be thinking of the one to one courses they run? Or some other parenting help? I've tried several parenting books but without much success

There's a Triple P 10+ for teens and pre-teens. I'm doing Triple P at the mo. It's very helpful. There's a lot of obvious stuff, but when you're in the throes of a bad phase it helps to have the reminder. Also, it helps to give a sense of perspective sharing stories with others.

I've done it. It's all gone to pot again now so I need to re read my handbook but it is helpful and worth doing

Gosh thanks for the prompt responses. I will have another look at the website as I hadn't spotted the 10+ one Maximum Glad it has helped you both (& thanks for the reminder you need to keep on top of it, Nelly

Nelly if you don't mind me asking, how long ago did you do it? Or how long did it work for?

Hi Whatsapigsear, I did it for 4 weeks online and had a book too. It gets you thinking about how you deal with things. I've slipped into bad habits again so need to get a grip and work on it again. It's not a quick fix but I did start to see results and some have continued even though I've been a bit slack. It's worth a try.

Thanks. I will give the online course a go before spending lots on the one to one

Hi, have any of you done this course online? Is it good for toddlers? What is it like and is it worth it? I have twins 2.5yrs old and life at times is seriously hard work. I sure from stress and anxiety and I am ashamed to say I don't enjoy parenting when they are really really challenging with us but well behaved at nursery/with our nanny. I am in real need of learning how to parent!

Our HV recommended the course and I got offered a place on the council ran one but it runs Jan-May one morning a week during one of my work days. It's too long a commitment to juggle around with work swaps and leave. I've decided to do the online one instead.
