heading says it all. I'm sure 'it's just a phase' but a bl**dy annoying one as such!

He was 2 in September and probably entered the terrible 2's with a vengeance.

The cuter part of the phase:
I say e.g. 'time for nappy change' I get a resounding no. DH says it and ds lies down and lets himself being changed. Not that I mind that part that much .

It's the general tendency to totally ingore me and 'behave' with dh.

The very annoying part of the phase:

ds is Thomas the Tank engine addict and has Thomas and James engines that go EVERYWHERE with him. Time for e.g. bed, he gets up walks to edge of bed and throws them. After 2nd time I refuse to pick them up, give him tap on the offending hand with firm NO, which of course gets followed by pointing in general direction and big sobbs and 'tschutschu' in that lip trembling heart rendering adorable angle voice (ya get the picture). At which point I tell him 'last time I pick them up'... of they go flying again... which I duly ignore and cart him off to bed, which gets followed by screaming frenzy and 'fending me off' if I try hold/cuddle/comfort him. However, all dh has to say is 'lie down and stop throwing the trains' and that's that!

Ignore it or do something about it?

I'm actually back on 'happy pills' now anyhow because of various other factors so hoping once they've kicked in I'm not phased anymore.

DH is great about it as he has to do most of the nappy changes now and has to settle ds during the night, but still somehow we have to get ds to listen to me again!
