NO MORE BUGY.... EVER??

My DD is nearly 2 and the other day we were on quite a long shopping trip. She got really bored so we let her walk for a bit. Now, we've found that whenever we go out, there's absolutely no way she'll go in her buggy! She is actually very good and walks holding our hand, but it's very difficult to look at anything in a shop, as that's when she runs off and looks at stuff. I then have to keep a close eye on her and end up walking out without seeing anything. We've tried coaxing her into her buggy with food etc, but nothing works. Anyone else had this?

we had this about this age. Does she still have a daytime sleep? if so, try going out when she needs a sleep and she will want to be in her buggy. Then just try to use the buggy more and more - i promise my dd if she gets in the buggy to get to "x" then she can walk back.

we also found these great - reins they actually want to put on, esp if you put a little toy in the front pouch. backpack

had a disastrous school run. was on time for a change raining and d/d3 started kicking off in car before i even got her out. i've had to take off work as she is fine apart from runs and she hasn't had any runs with me at home anyway. wouldn't put on hat and gloves. raining wouldn't go into pram etc..... d/d 5 struggling with umbrella then we start off on walk to school and forget bookbag and lunchbox with comotion d/d2 had made. I am shouting at her to put her hand out to put gloves on. she is crying for everything to get her way and i was not backing down on this one. other mums heard me shouting at her she was crying as if i was attacking her. feel awful now but wasn't going to give in as i always do. Am i wrong for making her do as i want? I am very stressed at moment d/h away with work etc.... i am embarrassed that couple of other mums heard me losing it a bit with her. she is unwell and needed to be wrapped up. This morning started of so well.

I'm hard. If I'm in town and in a rush dd has to go in the buggy and I strap her in whether she likes it or not. She has outgrown it really and will be using a buggy board with new baby in future.

She's 3 btw! There's no way I could have given up on the buggy when she was 2 - I do way too much walking which relies on her sitting in buggy.

I regulalry wrestle with my kids and couldn't care less who sees or hears me.
My dh is away too.

carry her on your shoulders

sit her down and put your knee in her tummy till you can get the harness on then give her a chocolate button or something
