My dd is 3 and has developed this instant dislike of anything new.
For example:
She loves minions. She's not well and I've just put on describable me 2 for her to watch thinking all the minions would make her happy.
She has thrown a major tantrum screaming that she only likes minions on clothes and toys not on tv.
It's about 10 mins in and she is watching and giggling happily.
But it's the tantrum and immediate opposition to anything new that grates on me.
New food? Nope. She doesn't like and refuses to taste it.
New clothes? Nope, they won't fit and she doesn't like the fabric.
New shoes? Nope. She won't be able to walk in them.
It's exhausting behaviour. I tend to sort of ignore it a bit now and she gets over it in her own time. Just wondered how normal this is?
Is it par for the course at 3?
