Dad is 22 months old and has started to take herself off to the dining room to sit under a chair. She isn't playing hide and seek but just seems to want some alone time.
Is this normal?

My dd is almost 5 and has always liked her own space, can't remember how much she did it at that age, but even now she doesn't like noisy rooms and is happy to sit on her own doing things.
Could it be noise that's making her doing it? If she's happy i'd leave her to it and enjoy the peace yourself.

My cousin used to do that when she was having a wee or a poo, it was like she suddenly realised no one else just went in public

Thanks. She's happy enough when she's doing it and the poo thing makes sense too.
