Hey, was just wondering if anyone knows at what age do children start to dream? DD is 19months old n she keeps waking up in the night screaming n when i go in to see her she is shaking n really hot njust clings to me so was wondering if this could be her having a bad dream? Or if anyone else got any suggestions on what it might be.
Thanks everyone x

hi nik my dd the same age as yours and has the same prob at nite. the best things to do, we found, was to just cuddle her and keep talking to her in a soft "night-time voice" and saying over and over that she was ok and that she was safe. sometimes i had to take her out of her bedroom and into the living room, keeping talking to her adn just kept hold of her. she did sometimes struggle but i just kept firm hold (not grip), kept talking softly and she calmed down after a while. hth
