16 week DS not sleeping at night ��

Hi all,
Sorry if this is not the right section,my DS who is 17 weeks tomorrow is waking every hour at night last night this has been going on for the past 6 night, I had a mini breakdown last night I just don't know what to do has anyone faced this? he is at the back end of having a very bad cold for which I give him the saline spray to clear his airways and is also teething for which im giving him Ashton parsons powder, any advice or experience with this would be greatly appreciated ??

Sounds horrible - if you look up '17 week sleep regression' I believe you'll find it's a real thing. My 1st DS did it & it was a real shocker... Health Visitor actually recommended slightly early weaning as his weight gain dropped off too.
If it's any consolation (& I know not much is with babies!), it is a phase they grow out of until the next one. We're in the middle of a 6 month-long sleep regression with DS 2 at 19mths

my DC was the same - at 16 weeks I gave in and bought a sleepyhead grande-went from waking every 1.5 hrs to sleeping 8-7 with one feed at 3/4! truly, truly miraculous smile Because they are snuggled they csnt thrash about and they think they are being cuddled so sleep better. Soooooo worth the money IMO

If you think he's teething maybe it's worth trying something a bit stronger than the powders? Calpol is fantastic stuff

Anbesol teething gel is good stuff too, or anything with lidocaine in. Ashton's powder is essentially just sugar crystals.
