My son has a dummy for night times and sleeps really well. We put him down and don't hear a peep out of him for 12 - 13 hrs. I want to wean him off his dummy but don't want his sleep to go down hill. He also has his dummy for his daytime nap.

Any advice??

How old is he? I wouldn't bother yet if he's under 3

Forgot to mention he is 2 and a half.
Thanks for advice. Maybe I'll wait until he's 3 then..

Is it for sleep only? If he's using it at any other time of day then you could start to talk him out of this 'big
Boys don't have a dummy when they're not in bed' type idea. For sleep though, you could leave it until his 3rd birthday then get him ready to exchange it for his big boy birthday presents?
