14 month baby 'discipline'

This may sound silly but my 14 month baby CONSTANTLY climbs onto the tv table and touches the tv. I remove him with a 'no' hundreds of times daily. Sometimes he cries, sometimes he's not particularly bothered.
I know the long term solution is to put the tv on the wall but I'm in a temporary rented flat whilst my house purchase completes. We are hopefully only weeks away & I don't want to start drilling stuff into someone else's flat.
Soooooooo. How can I make a 14 month baby/toddler stop? Too young for consequences, I try to distract him by placing him with toys etc, and it doesn't matter if the tv is on or off either.
I don't want it to end up with him getting hurt....or even worse....breaking the tv .

Get a fire gaurd/playpen fence thing and corden off the telly.

Two more options:

1. Put DC is a playpen at times when you can't directly supervise, or

2. (preferable) put the TV table inside a playpen so that it is permanently off limits.

Discipline doesn't mean much to a 14 month old, I'm afraid.

I'd do a very stern no (enough to give him a shock) each time and be consistent. Works for my ds

Hmmmm. Thanks for the suggestions ladies. A combo of working on my firm 'no' voice (rather than muttering ffs under my breath) and some sort of elaborate cordoning off of the general area seems to be the best solution.
Oh boy he's definitely a climber Frusso - soft play is more of a work out for me than an hours worth of 'Insanity'
