Summer/holiday clubs?

How do you go about selecting a summer/holiday club/scheme?

My council have a list but how do I trust, now their safe/ suitable? My 8yr old needs this for next year as my parents had her this year and found it very hard. X

Could you go from local recommendations? Do any of her friends go to any?

I know my friend sends her DD to PGL for a whole week, and she loves it. She used to go to Kingscamp and liked that too.

Would your parents be willing to do one or two days a week?

parents would do one or two days per week but I really need to find something else for her for the other days. Her theatre school do a week usually and I trust them. None of her friends go, I am the only working mum (full-time) I know. The council have a summer camp in a nearby lesuire centre but it's Thats leaving her somewhere unknown.

Have you checked MN Local for your area? People on there might be able to recommend what they use.
