My twins teeth, where are they?

Dad of twin girls, 1 year old yesterday. Non-identical, in fact about as different as you can get. Like chalk and cheese physically and personality wise. The 1 way in which they are the same is that they don't have a tooth between them. I find this a bit weird and my wife's a bit worried. Does anyone else have experience of late developing teeth? Given how different they are, I'd have expected a tooth from 1 of them by now.

My DD didn't have any teeth at 1 either, they started coming through the following week...

Ds got his first a week before his first birthday. Then 7 came at once! I mentioned it to my HV, who reassured me that they would come. She was right.

Both of mine had half a tooth on their first birthdays, it's likely they'll be later losing their baby teeth too. Dd1 is 8.5 and has only lost a few teeth so far.

My children were 11m, 16m, 14m when getting their first tooth, and oldest didn't lose his first tooth until he was 8. It's genetic, all my family are late teethers, and there is not a single thing you can do about it, so stop worrying. On the plus side they are better placed to look after their permanent teeth when they come through.

My non identical twin girls got their first teeth at 11 months then they arrived one after the other in quick succession. By 25 months they had all 40 teeth between them. Mine teethed at the same time in the same order weirdly.
