Does anyone else's 3 yr old throw up when having a tantrum??

Just trying to work out if its normal or if she has some sort of disorder. Only happens occasionally (once every month or two) when she's having a mega tantrum (always at bedtime, so linked to tiredness).
Last night she threw up twice. The carpets a mess.

It also makes it very difficult to decide between hovering around her ready to catch the vomit and leaving her to calm down (the more we hang around, the worse she gets....she calms down quicker if left alone but with me in the vicinity so she can see me if she comes out of her room).

It must be so horrible to cry so much that it makes you vomit but I really don't know what to do about it.

I have this same problem with my 2 year old, less frequently but she will get so overtired that she will cry until she is sick at bedtime. I try and take her into fresh air, stand by the back door, but it's difficult when they are in a full tantrum and won't want to be manhandled. I don't know what the solution is but I don't think it's abnormal.

Snoz - thanks, I was starting to think I was the only one!

The social toddler is a fab book helps with managing tantrums :)

Me too! And mine used to wet herself!

She'll grow out of it, most likely. Mine moved on to door slamming!

Mine used to and then lost the knack to vomit at will (I think there must have been a long time between tantrums) - boy was she cross then!

Mazzle - am considering myself lucky now!

On the plus side it does seem to snap dd out of it, in a 'wow look what I just did, I'm amazing' kind of way.

My DD shouted, "I'm going to pee everywhere!" she was naked from the waist down) and then did just that. Shock
