7yr old son- days out nightmare!

Does anyone have any suggestions for snapping my son out of his bad behaviour on days out?!

Every time we plan a big day out like legoland for example it all starts off well then when we get there he is just disrespectful, back chatting and just doesn't listen. I understand he is excited and I do choose to ignore the little things but it really is turning intoe not wanting to take him anywhere

I always had one warning then home rule.

Also if they're not listening then making them repeat back what you're saying slows them down.

What triggers the whining and rudeness? I think that a clear plan for the day helps my 7 yr old to focus on what he is doing at that time, rather than whinging for ice cream or whatever. Make sure he's not too tired / hungry / thirsty as well.
