Bedwetting Alarm. Help!

fakenamefornow · 14/08/2015 15:12

I think I need one for my little girl, she's seven next week and wets the bed every single night.

Anyone give me any advice what to buy (and what not to buy) and how do they work?

Have you been to the GP about it first?

Speak to your school nurse / gp they will advise you right course of treatment and any equipment necessary .

I waited for a referral to the nurse specialist and she told me they no longer supply the alarms and to go to ERIC (pp has posted link)
I got advice on their website and bought the alarm and on dc1 it worked within a couple of months (aged 7)

Good luck, you will get there

Thanks.

We've already seen the nurse about a year ago. She went through everything with us, increasing water intake, avoiding orange juice etc we even kept a poo diary. No change though. The nurse wanted us try try all these things first and didn't recommend an alarm at that stage.

I could make another appointment but fear it would be 2016 before we got to see her. She's going away on a school residential soon as well.
